Old Enamel

Is it possible to repair the damage caused by grinding your teeth? The enamel can be restored once lost teeth?

The dentist says my teeth are not terrible, but there is much to rectify that should last for a 21 year old male. I had a stressful last 10 years and that might be why I cringe at night. I'm going to start wearing a headband for protection, but it worries me about the damage already caused. All practical suggestions or other advice than good oral health care anyways? I brush my teeth two times a day and floss daily.

Well, I used to cringe a hell of a lot and had not been the dentist for a few years. When I went, I had a new dentist and the first thing he asked me if I had been used to grind their teeth. It is not something you can do to recover it, because essentially the top layer has disappeared. It Some toothpastes, you can use to help restore or atleast protect the enamel of your teeth, like Sensodyne, and it is really useful. The best thing that helped me was chewing gum because I used to grind during the day without noticing it, but you only grind for yours night? It Sounds like you take care of your teeth really well but still grinding your teeth can cause many dental problems when you're older, therefore gain custody as soon as you can and you can relax before you sleep. Good luck!
