I need software for a camera/computer interface.?
I need this primarily for picture buttons/magnets that we have been selling at festivals and fairs. The current process of taking a picture, uploading or removing the camera card, adding a background (chromograph photography), and printing takes to long for larger events. I want to be able to take a picture from the camera and via usb cable have that picture immediately accessible to my computer. I tried it with the software that came with my canon. While I can access the pictures via the USB chord it doesn't update every time I take a new picture, I have to unplug and replug in the cable.
Any ideas on software or hardware to make this happen. I have two state fairs coming up and I Need to work out any kinks before then.
It might be the version of the software or the model of your camera. But even my old 20D I could use the computer to take the picture and it was imported to the computer and actually saved there instead of on the memory card. I do this with my current 1 D and 1Ds M3 for some wildlife shots and it works well. I can even zoom in and out and fine focus with it. You might want to try it.
Just put it on a tripod, and run the USB cable into the desktop or laptop and you should be good to go.
