There is no actual price guide, but if there was, it would just be figures printed on paper and pretty meaningless, because books don't buy things, people do. The easiest place to find the real value of modern, mass-produced collectibles, to see what real people are paying, is eBay.
There are many different Garfield plates listed for sale, some at prices that look to me like the seller is trying to get back the original cost. The vast majority of modern collectibles never come near their original cost when sold on the secondary market. They are a terrible investment. People should buy these things only because they get enjoyment out of having them, never for the purpose of making a profit.
Only one listing for Garfield has sold on eBay recently. It was a lot of two plates from the 'A Day With Garfield' series and it sold for $3 plus $9 postage.
There were no listings for Danbury Flintstones plates, but many for plates made by the Franklin Mint. Franklin Mint guides can be found, I have a 1981 guide, which is before these plates were made. The Franklin guides are very useful for research, but the values in them are meaningless.
No Franklin Flintstones plates have sold recently on eBay.
The secondary market demand for these items is low, and that is reflected in the low prices they bring. You'll do better selling them at a garage sale or flea market where the buyer doesn't have to pay anything for postage, so will pay a higher price for the item itself.
