Im visiting the Pacific Northwest in April for a week long road trip tour.Any suggestion / photo on what to see?
Im an artist. My medium is painting, etching and image transfer. I want to gather some more pictures for my work. I live in Tennessee, and the Pacific Northwest me still interested. Im flying into Seattle with a rental car waiting on me. Im renting hotels on the fly. I intend to lead along the Pacific Coast, Seattle, Portland, and everything I meet in between. I want the trip to be adventurous. Money is a problem ... ID like to limit costs. Does anyone have suggestions on places / beaches / parks / places downtown for me to see? All of a hole in bar wall to plant interesting to watch. I do not care ... I just want to explore and get a feel for the area.
Seattle - Place Pikes Market, the waterfront, Seattle Center (where the needle space), Pioneer Square, University Avenue around UW. Mt Rainer, Mt. St. Helens, the National Forest Ho rain, Port Townsend. Oregon Coast line south of Seaside. I would go to Victoria, BC, take the ferry from Port Angeles, or go to the San Juan Islands - Roach Harbor. The island of San Juan area in the northern part of Puget Sound is the most beautiful part of the region in my opinion. In April the tulips will be in bloom around Mt. Vernon. They provide for the tulips flower industry and light bulbs, huge fields of flowers. If you can not go to the islands San Juan, check the channel cover and the rear channels of Puget Sound west of Gig Harbor. Gig Harbor is another place to check - a sandwich and beer Tavern on the tides. You can easily spend one week in western Washington. Pikes Place Market is only an adventure all day.
