Rare Japan
What a good gift for my host family in Japan?
I will travel to Japan this summer for two weeks and remain with a host family. I want to give them a gift from the United States. What makes a good gift that is rare in Japan?
I lived with four foster families in two years in Japan, and by the end of it, I found the best thing to do was give them a small assortment of things because a lot of time, they will display little, or they send them to their friends to show you. Some things that I staples were found to definitively whiskey for your father home. They drink only shizznazz like water. Otherwise, things will more tourism very well. I'm Canadian, so I brought the ultimate Canadiana, smoked salmon, maple syrup, Canadian flags and very few well ... find a sort of equivalent of your state or region .... Also, I was able to find a small book (like 40ish pages) of the bulk of Canada presentation of images and little about each shot, but it is in Japanese ... So it was a sweet discovery. If live in a big city, you'll probably be able to find some of those who go too much because it's a great way to really overcome language barriers .... everyone has a picture (and thus whiskey;) Oh also, as others have mentioned, the packaging is really important ... Do not wrap before travel and give them all crushed in the bag ... buy gold and red paper and wrap it well when you get there .... you can get everything you need packing intense Family Mart or 7-11 (they know that their donations!) have aa good! bon voyage! It is a place sweet!
