It made me puke a little that you compared Pearl Jam to Madonna.
At any rate, Madonna appeals to the masses, so she would sell more tix.
But Pearl Jam has never attempted to appeal to anyone but their actual fans, and don't strive to sell out places that seat 100's of thousands of people. They make the music they want to, not thinking about it's mass appeal. That's why they're my favorite band.
