Picks Rare
Do you know a friend who who never picks up their cell phone, respond to ims, and never calls back? ?
An old friend of mine would never pick up his cell phone for anyone or never call anyone back. And then when my friends and I asked him why he said that he makes up some ridiculous excuse, and in the rare case he picks up his phone he says I'll call you back but never does. Then when we call his house his parents would basically lie about his whereabouts, and once said he wasn't home when we could clearly hear him speaking in the background.
We don't speak to this kid anymore or hang out with him but has anyone else experienced this with a friend they know?
It's called hibernation. I've done it for a short period of time where you dont' talk to anybody. Mind you, I told my friends that if they called or tried to contact me I wouldn't answer. It frustrated a few of my friends but the majority stood by me. It happens when you need to sort things out. It's tougher than you think. Also, he may be coming up with excuses so you don't think he's a headcase. People can be really judgemental that way.
