How to use the internet in the USA?
If I bring a laptop from Australia, can I use it at an internet cafe in America? Can I plug it in to the power safely, or do I need a special adapter? In Australia, the internet cafes have their own computers and you just pay for time but last time I was in America, I couldn't find one like that. They all had connectors for your own computer but none of their own. I will be staying in Washington not far from Dupont Circle.
As long as your laptop has 802.11a/b/g/n built in or if you have a wireless adapter it will work with any wireless access point. Power is another story, Australian power adapters will need an converter to fit in North American outlets. They are in just about every city.
