Best Way to Tour sites on City Pass?
The Chicago City Pass allows me to go see the Shedd's Aquarium, Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, Museum of Science and Industy, and then either the Hancock Observatory OR the Sears Tower observatory. I hear online the Sear's Tower is better. I believe most or all are on the loop or in easy reach, so how should I split or run the trip? Which ones are closer to the other thus making it flow and be better logically? I'd appreciate the input. Thanks.
The Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum and Planetarium are walking distance within each other. The Museum of Science and Industry is a lot further South than the other three museums. You would have to take a Metra train to get there. the Museum of Science and Industry is such a large museum that you'd need a whole day there. It has a lot of reading material. Honestly, unless the museum of science and industry has a great exhibit running it really isn't as great as the other museums. I haven't been up to the Sears Tower observatory, but if you do go there a great option to see from the John Hancock building is to go to the Signature Room bar. If you are over 21, there's a fancy restaurant at the top of the John Hancock building called the Signature Room, but a lot of people go up to the "I think" 96th floor, the bar just to get a drink then take in the view. It turns out for a nice evening, then you are down on Michigan Ave. to go do whatever next. All in all the Sears Tower would be better during the day and the John Hancock better in the evening.
