Warning Driver
Warning other drivers of speed traps?
If you flash other drivers to warn them of a speed trap and are in sight of the van will you get a ticket?
If i had done anything wrong, would they send me a notice through the post or pull me over?
"Obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty" is a possible outcome though almost imposible to prove unless you openly admit it.
There are a number of reasons why you would flash your high beam.
These include testing the functionality.
Taking off a suspected high beam if your stalk is one that stays on when pulled and toggles off when pulled.
Warning other road users of your presence if you suspect that they may a potential danger to you.
Even if the Police charged you,the CPS would bottle it.
If the "warned" driver was not speeding at the time you flashed then there would be no chance of prosecution.
The Police are fighting back by using the first reached speed trap as a dummy. As you confidently gain speed you will be snapped by the second.
The most likely outcome is the road traffic police pulling you over and vindictively going over your motor with a fine toothcombe.
Conclusion,do your duty as a good citizen and warn your fellow hard pressed drivers only after you are out of range of New Labours blackshirt revenue collectors.
